Anne Frank Diary Hunt

Anne Frank was a Jewish girl during World War Two. She went into hiding with her family and a few other Jews. They hid in a secret annex and the entrance was behind a bookcase. During her time in the annex, she kept a diary, which has been turned into a book.

Click the picture to play a game in which you have to try and find all the pieces of her diary in four minutes or less (don’t go into the Nazis as they deduct a life and you only have three)! Good luck!

Year six visited Stockport to have a World War 2 experience and they all had an amazing time! They arrived from Bolton to be greeted by two senior ladies who explained about what they would be doing. From trying gas masks to traveling through and underground in a shelter. I’m sure they had lots of fun on there!

Safety During Air Raids

Make Do And Mend

During WWII, civilians of Britain had to make do with the clothes that they had. When their clothes got too small, they had to either:

. Turn them into rags

. Swap them at the local clothing exchange

. Cut them into smaller parts and knit them into something else/ use them to mend clothes.

Anothe use for rags would be to create rag rugs (which are made from rags and potato sacks) to liven up their houses.
