Extra-curricular activities for the Children’s University!

Eleni and Xia Fitrzyk completed a nature trail at Jumbles Reservoir during half term and also did an educational visit to Manchester Museum to gain extra hours in their Children’s University passports!

Well done to Kylah Green in 6H!

A huge well done to Kylah Green from 6H! At the weekend Kylah took part in Badass Mucker: a 2.5k obstacle course in Lancaster.

This included over 20 obstacles in thick mud and cold water! A fantastic achievement Kylah! Well done!

Huge well done to Darcey Cam from 5F!

Over the summer Darcey from 5F took part in a 3 week summer school at the Octagon Theatre in Bolton, which resulted in an indiviual speaking part in the Railway Children as ‘Tabby’!

Darcey also performed at St Catherines Academy in July, singing Moana’s “how far ill go” in front of a massive audience of 150 people! How brave!

Enterprise day in year 5!

On Wednesday year 5 took part in an enterprise day where we made our own products and sold them in school and after school. We learnt about budgeting, profits and how to run a small business! We thoroughly enjoyed making these – especially the slime and stress balls!!

Aspirations visitor

Today year 5 took part on some work on jobs and careers and thought about how to overcome challenges and set backs to ensure we achieve on dreams. We did lots of different activities and asked / answered lots of questions. We even had a lovely visitor ‘Tom’ is from Bolton Lads and Girls club who to us about his life and changes he has overcome himself. He also talked about the club itself and had lots of us were really exited about the different activities on offer at the youth club.

Year 5 aspirations

Last week year 5 started doing some work on aspirations. As part of aspiration week year 5 will be taking part in an enterprise event where they will make and sell their own products. We all designed our own advertisements posters to attract customers.
