Love Bolton, Hate Litter

The Eco-team and children in year 6 took part in the ‘Big Tidy Up’ to clean up the local community. The school collected 35 bags of rubbish and also a table, chairs and a TV. The school were joined by community police officers who helped with safety and the 60 children who participated picked litter around the school grounds and the local area.

The children realise how important it is to respect the environment and not to be litter bugs. They had a fantastic time and always enjoy participating, this is the second year that the event has been run by the council, who arranged to remove the litter. We are happy to announce that we came 8th out of 18 schools and for the 2nd time running won the trophy against other schools local to us.

  1. I can’t believe we won again! Well, I can because we the best of the best and we don’t think about these events as a competition, we think of them as helping our environment… and the world. We won and the other schools will NEVER beat Highfield!

HELP THE TREES BECAUSE THEIR OUR KEYS!
